AS ISIS ROMERO SHOWS US, A UNIQUE ONE AT NORTHEAST ISD IS HOPING TO INSPIRE THE NEXT GENERATION OF ENGINEERS AND COMPUTER PROGRAMMERS.>>I HAVE THE CONTROLLER TO CONTROL IT. A BUNCH OF PARTS THAT CAME IN THE BOX. I ASSEMBLED THIS CONTROLLER.>>REPORTER: HE’S BEEN CODING SINCE THE SEVENTH GRADE.>>I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP CODING IN LIFE. MAYBE BECOME AN ENGINEER OR SOMETHING.>>REPORTER: NOW A HIGH SCHOOL FRESHMAN, CONNOR IS HONING HIS SKILLS AT A TWO-WEEK DRONE CAMP WHERE STUDENTS CAN BUILD, PROGRAM, AND FLY THEIR OWN DRONES.>>NOT JUST ABOUT THE BUILDING OF THE DRONES, IT’S ABOUT THE ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING PIECE OF IT. THE PROGRAMMING PIECE OF IT. IT’S REALLY FUN WHEN YOU SEE THEM FLYING ACROSS THE ROOM.>>REPORTER: THE PROGRAM STARTED FIVE YEARS AGO. AT THE TIME, ALMOST NOWHERE FOR KIDS TO GO TO LEARN TO CODE. STUDENTS SAY THEY’RE THINKING ABOUT THEIR FUTURE CAREERS.>>MORE CODING KNOWLEDGE THAT I CAN USE AT GETTING INTERNSHIPS AT RACKSPACE OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.>>REPORTER: IT’S TO GET KIDS INTERESTED IN CODING AND PROGRAMMING AND COMPUTER SCIENCE, TO BUILD THEIR CONFIDENCE IN THAT SKILL SETH, AND TO SHOW THEM WHAT THE JOBS OF THE FUTURE LOOK LIKE.>>REPORTER: AND WITH SAN ANTONIO HOME TO A GROWING
