Video footage ‘shows aftermath’ of Syria refugee camp bombings

Video footage posted on a social media site
purports to show the aftermath of an attack on a refugee camp in Syria. Syrian army helicopters killed at least 20
people here on Wednesday, mostly women and children, in the first attack on a refugee
camp in southern Syria. The footage, which can not be independently
verified, was said to be filmed yesterday, one mile from the Jordanian border. People can be seen carrying bodies to graves
whilst others stand around the former camp in shock, taking in the level of destruction. Residents and opposition activists said the
army dropped several barrel bombs, which are highly destructive improvised explosives,
the use of which has been condemned by western powers as a war crime. Rebels in Aleppo, where the insurgents and
government forces have been bogged down for months of fighting, shelled and fired at government
positions on Wednesday, further unverifiable social media video purports to show.
