  1. Dallas has a 1500 bed facility called "The Bridge". They boast a 35% rate of getting them off the street for good. Habitat for humanity in McKinney built a whole subdivision of homes for the homeless.

  2. Sounds like a step in the right direction. Temporary solutions for immediate needs that provide 300 Beds, Safe storage, Dining, Sanitation, Mental/Substance-Abuse problem programs for the homeless for Free. With over 2,000 unsheltered homeless in Austin, the City will need to build at least 6 more of these centers. For San Francisco having over 5,000 unsheltered homeless, the City will need to build at least 17 of these types of centers, and for Los Angeles having over 27,000 unsheltered homeless, the City will need to build at least 90 of these types of centers… wow! Cities may have to pass a new City Tax bill so that the income of Working Class citizens can be garnished at an appropriate percent to help fund these massive and growing expenses that provide Free facilities and services for the Homeless.

  3. About time we the people have to do this because the incompetent city council and Mayor couldn't come up with a solution not even the Govenor SMH. And yet just watch as they will all take credit for doing move! Its a Damm shame the state wouldn't or couldn't. Its time for a change beginning with the Govenor all the way down to the Corrupt City Council to get Voted out Now! We don't need them and they surely can't do the job!😑👎

  4. THERE IS NO PERMANENT HOUSING……THAT PART IS A BOLD LIE!!!! All any homeless shelter is good for is creating lucrative middle-class jobs for college graduates in the social worker field. All shelters offer the same Merry-Go-Round services that go absolutely nowhere. When their funding has been depleted (because 75 cents of every dollar is spent on Administration salaries) all of these social workers simply dumped their caseload right back into the street where they found us! The social workers move on to new programs that have fresh funding while we homeless people remain….HOMELESS.

  5. Who the fuck wants to sleep on weird bunk beds that touch each other in a tent? They consistently want to put them in internment camps. They want to warehouse them permenatly. At the end if the day everyone wants privacy. The business commerce's shouldn't be involved in the human traffic trade

  6. time to change the Constitution before USA is gone!!. One required all US citizens to carry ID showing they are real US citizens . And only US citizens can purchase property in United States . Only US plp can use our public schools, private schools, use or join our miltary ,get SSI,welfare And only US citizens can work in US….<<< YES this will never happen ,BUT seems only way to keep our country -our country ..Plp from other countries can and have purchase land here – cattle ranches and send the beef back to their country ..Illegals are using our school ,joining our military …All these public places .libraries, school, miltary should be required to check & see if plp wanting them is a us citizen ..But NO does not happen ..So our country is being given out top the world/a play ground for them /// Carry a ID & show it to cops and all <ha never happen ..PLP want to fight for their freedom ..freedom not to do this ..SAD ..Plp have to realize doing these things is `like fighting for our freedom, keeping our country =our country= keep jobs for US citizens only here ..maybe we should re defind the meaning of a country .

  8. It's nice to see an effort to care for the very few (where I live 1% take services) houseless who are deserving and will take, and stay in, housing. What about the 98% of homeless vagrants who are mentally ill and/or drug addicted who are ruining Austin for the normal people? As much as we would like to believe they want our help, the truth is they don't. Voluntary efforts won't fix that.
