Exploring Entrepreneurship Camp 2019

EEC stands for Exploring Entrepreneurship Camp I’m Annalise and I’m Grayson and we’re cofounders of Exploring Entrepreneurship Camp EEC brought together 30 campers 12
Namibian facilitators and 7 PCVs for a week filled of interactive
entrepreneurial activities I learned how to come up with a small business, how you can over come problems, We picked a theme each day that we thought was
integral to tackling the challenges that entrepreneurs face here in Namibia. Our daily themes were strengths, creativity, teamwork, money, and business for good I led on the day of creativity, like how to be more creative how to start up with something, how to think critically and just think out of the box I was in charge of teamwork day, day three of the camp. It was a very important theme because I think without team there is no business Creative Cash is an interactive way for campers to learn how to manage their money responsibly campers were paired with a business partner on the first day of camp and given creative cash throughout the week campers paid for
their expenses such as lunch and tea break, and earn revenue through
participation and banked at the EEC bank at the end of the week
campers got to use their extra creative cash in a prize storage to buy fun toys
or pie their facilitators it was so fun to watch campers take initiative and ownership of their creative cash throughout the week So one of our sessions was a market day activity and this was one of my favorite sessions
because the kids got to take their creative cash and buy any materials they
wanted we had the facilitator set up little shops and then they went around
and made whatever they desired and then sold to the facilitators to get more
creative cash so this is some of the jewelry that I bought This camp is important because it teaches you how to work with people how to listen to them and also it teaches you about what type of person you want to become in the future. The entrepreneurship camp is important because in our country we have economic crisis so entrepreneurship is the only key to success. It taught the Namibian next generation how to compose business or how to come up with their own business it also taught them the challenge that they
may face while running the business and how to overcome them This camp is important because it is teaching many young people on how to start up their own business which is decreasing the high rate of unemployment in our country. We created EEC to foster innovation, critical thinking, creativity and empower the next
generation of Namibia’s entrepreneurs
