LEADERS IN BRISTOL, VIRGINIA VOTED AGAINST A REZONING REQUEST FOR A PROPOSED R-V PARK. THAT REQUEST COMING FROM LONG CRESCENT, LLC TO REZONE LAND ALONG LONG CRESCENT DRIVE FROM RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL. FOUR COUNCIL MEMBERS VOTED AGAINST THE REQUEST WHILE COUNCIL MEMBER KEVIN WINGARD ABSTAINED. THAT’S BECAUSE LONG CRESCENT, LLC IS OWNED BY THE WIFE, CHILDREN AND SON IN LAWS OF WINGARD. “TWO BIG THINGS WERE TRAFFIC SAFETY. TRANSPORTATION SAFEY HAS BEEN ONE OF MY BIG ISSUES SINCE BEFORE I WAS ON THE CITY COUNCIL. SO THE SAFETY OF THE ENTRANCE AND EXIT TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD THERE.
