– Okay so the tornado siren just went off, we’re grabbing the kids. Elise, Elise. Elise. Put your head on my shoulder. (dramatic string music) – [Kendra] Jeremy, where’s Laura? – I’ll get her. We are where we go when we hear the tornado siren. We take that very seriously. We immediately come
down into the basement. We grab each of the kids. And we’re all down here. – Daddy, can you hold Isaac? – So one of the most precious parts to me that I think I’ll always
remember about being down here was that Kendra said a prayer. – And that was Elise that reminded us to do that first thing, and I was so grateful
for her remembering to have us do that. – And before she finished the prayer, Isaac interjected and said, “And please bless all of our friends “and our neighbors that they’ll be safe.” – And family. – And family. It’s been about 15 minutes
since the siren went off and I’m gonna see if we
can still hear the siren. – So there’s still thunder and lightning, but the tornado part of
the storm has passed. We are safe, for which
we are very grateful. We are also sitting here at 12:30 A.M. with all four of our kids awake. Church starts at 9:00. We need to be in the car
driving away around 8:50 to get there before it starts. 8:55 is really pushing it. It is currently 8:29. Isaac’s asleep. Three kids are eating breakfast. Jeremy’s not dressed or showered, and you can see me right here. – Wait, I showered.
– Think I can make it? Oh you showered? – [Jeremy] Yeah, with Caleb this morning. – That’s your post shower? – Yeah.
(laughs) – Who thinks we can make it? Put in your bets. Ready, set, go! – [Jeremy] Bud we gotta
get ready for church. Yes, he is just in his underwear
playing in our backyard. (laughs) Caleb! Come on buddy, it’s church time, come on. Okay you got it dumped out, come on. Come on bud. It’s time for church. We gotta get your clothes on. Come on. One down, three to go. Deesh deesh. – Daddy, can you button this? No no, you need to like do this. – Let’s put this over here. – No, but you forgot the tie. – My friend, you’ve got to eat faster. Come on, we gotta go, we’re in a hurry. Come on! Luckily he can dress himself. Where did all of Elise’s stuff go? Where’s her little tights? – [Kendra] She was carrying
them around just a second ago. – Oh she put ’em in the closet for sure. Let’s do this. Getting the tights, getting the tights. – Okay Elise, you ready
for me to do your hair? Well we’re just gonna curl
the part that’s flipping out, we don’t have time to
curl the whole thing. – But then it won’t really look nice. – It will look beautiful. We’re doing the best we can today, okay? – Be careful with this ear. – Want me to not burn your ear? That’s a legitimate request. Okay it is all going under. You need to go brush your
teeth, find your shoes, and find your glasses. Ready? Shoes, glasses, teeth, go.
– Go. – [Jeremy] Come on bud,
come on come on come on. There we go. – Time to get my makeup on. (shrieks) – [Jeremy] Time awareness
moment, it’s 8:46. – I got four minutes, I’m good. (classical music) – Okay Isaac, we only have two minutes for you to get dressed. Let’s go. – I just messed up my mascara. – [Jeremy] Oh well I’m sure
it’s still good enough. – It’s got a little streak up there. – [Jeremy] It’s the cat look. – Go get the kids in the car. The cat look? You just said I have the cat look? – You know there’s like an eyeliner cat. – [Kendra] Our house is
a disaster, stop filming. – Damage control out in the kitchen. Just putting the cream cheese away, make sure that doesn’t go bad. You ready? I think we’re at like 8:50 right now. – [Kendra] Ah, let’s go get in the car! – [Jeremy] Come on, let’s get in the car. Come on. – [Child] That didn’t work. – I know. Looks like the lights
were left on in the van. I’m not sure if the
car’s even gonna start. The door wouldn’t open, the
sliding door wouldn’t open. I wonder if our battery’s dead. Okay so there’s still a light on in here so I’m hoping it works. Completely dead. The van will not turn on. We cannot fit all of
our family in this one, so I’m gonna have to do jumper cables. (exciting music) – So Laura still needs a bottle? – Yeah.
– Okay. – I’m gonna go get. – Do we have Laura’s shoes? – No. So one time when I was in high school I was doing the jumper cables and I actually started
a fire with the cables. I did it wrong. Anyway. (engine whirring) – Jeremy why does it
smell like fire in here? – Um, I don’t know. – Just put it down, we gotta go, we gotta go! Alright guys. We are pulling out of the driveway and it is 9:03. – We lost.
– We did. We lost the game. – And all the people at church can think that we’re just lazy bums, but we work really hard
to get there at 9:10! Every Sunday! – But we didn’t plan
for the battery debacle. Which, by the way Jeremy, when you were pulling the little car out, I noticed the trunk was open. Did you accidentally pop the trunk? – Yeah I popped the trunk when
I was trying to pop the hood. – It happens, it happens. Anywho. Our house literally looks
like a tornado hit it. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen it look like such a disaster zone. So we’re gonna be cleaning
that up this afternoon. We’re also going to go just enjoy church, and enjoy some family time together. So this’ll be it for today. You guys have a good Monday. – J House out. – J House out. – [Kids] J House out! – Nice. Alright, so we told
you guys a few days ago that we had some big news coming, and more things have gotten finalized so we can share another piece of the excitement that’s going on behind the scenes of our Vlog. We are officially.
